Sky Club
We are sitting in the Sky Club in Atlanta. Next stop Paris. We are trying to decide if our eight hour layover will give us enough time to get into the city. At a friends suggestion we want to take a tour on the Seine. The problem is we would have to go through customs and then back through security. Is it worth the hassle?

Joined the iPad craze
After being jealous of my husbands iPad I have gotten one of my own. I will take it to Europe to use when I have wifi to document my trip.

Preliminary Packing
I have spent most of the day gathering the final items that I need for packing. I have been struggling between carrying a small back pack or a tote. I think that I have settled on a tote. I will keep my passport, ID, and money in a travel belt under my clothes. I am also considering purchasing an I-Pad 2. I am not sure how this will effect my Kindle use but it will be great to have internet access when I have wi-fi. I also have 5 books that I want to carry. Three are travel guides by Rick Steves, but the other two are culinary guides to Italy. I want to carry them but they are so heavy, but they are also filled with so much information. (Neither are e-books)

Preparing for Europe
We leave for Europe on June 1. That gives me just a few days to pack my one bag, prepare to do lists to for my adult children, and load my Kindle with books to read.
